Perplexity AI

Why does the Perplexity CEO believe mastering AI is crucial for today’s youth?

With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), Aravind Srinivas, the CEO of Perplexity AI, is urging the youths across the world to stop spending their time mindlessly scrolling social media and focus instead on learning and mastering the technologies in AI.  We are living in a world where artificial intelligence is radically transforming every aspect of life. He believes that only people who are able to learn, use and improve with AI will be able to succeed in the future. Therefore, it is an appeal to a generation that will live to see opportunity and challenge dictated by an accelerating rate of change in technology.

Perplexity AI: Adapting faster than ever

The AI technology has reached its critical moment, and significant developments are reported each week. Srinivas has explained that the speed by which humans are unable to keep up is one that is being challenged by the speed at which the AI technologies are developing, hence giving a clear picture of how the landscape is changing fast for the young people who are joining the labor force. As such powerful and disruptive AI tools as Perplexity conversational search, Google Gemini, and tools based on GPT-4o and Claude 4.0 Sonnet become accessible to anyone, one must learn how to reasonably use them not when it is convenient but when it is not. Rohit Verma, Tech Analyst posted on X “Cutting down endless social media scrolls and investing time in AI skill-building, especially via tools like Perplexity, is a sound strategy for youth aiming to future-proof their careers.”

Perplexity AI future careers: Why youth must master AI tools

Srinivas cites forecasts in the tech industry: others, such as Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, believe that AI would create new possibilities and that a significant fraction of entry-level positions (Anthropic estimates 50 percent within five years) may be lost to automated contact. As Srinivas emphasises, in either case, the proactive involvement and upskilling would be the most appropriate solution offering to the youth a firm grasp of a place in the working market of the future. Young professionals will be able to transform, evolve and even invent new jobs as industries adapt to new technologies through learning of AI tools.

Perplexity CEO is specific that time spent scrolling endlessly through Instagram or TikTok is a historic waste of time. Srinivas, instead, sends a message to young people, they should spend more time getting familiar with artificial intelligence and learn to use special tools creatively and productively. Using websites such as Perplexity AI and Comet, access has been democratised to a greater extent than ever before, allowing high-caliber AI models to be interacted with directly. Kavita Sharma, AI Educator posted on LinkedIn, “As AI reshapes every industry, young professionals who master AI tools early will unlock unprecedented career growth. Platforms like Perplexity make this learning accessible, transforming curiosity into capability.”

Perplexity AI initiatives

Even confusion has made specific efforts to lay out AI to more youthful individuals, such as the creation of user-friendly search products and the initiated relations with youthful individuals, as Bharti Airtel offers free Perplexity Pro memberships to enlist them to practice real-life applications of premium AI models. In this way, Srinivas and his group are enabling the youth to instead of being mere consumers of technology, also to be the makers of the technology and make it happen.

Future outlook

In the world of modern fast-paced changes, the recommendation provided by Aravind Srinivas comes right in time and it comes urgent, mastering AI is not merely a great idea, it is an obligatory necessity. Young people who want to flourish will find it much easier to avoid the trends towards passivity and instead, sharpen their abilities with AI technologies that help to gain strength, both personally, in their careers and in the world.
