Stephen Ehikian, former acting administrator of the General Services Administration, has been named chief executive officer of C3 AI, effective Sept. 1.
The enterprise artificial intelligence application software company said Wednesday Ehikian is tasked with empowering customers to leverage AI to drive meaningful change across businesses, institutions and society. He will succeed Thomas Siebel, who will remain with the company as executive chairman.

Ehkian is a seasoned technology leader with a proven track record of building and scaling AI companies that have reshaped the enterprise software industry, including RelateIQ and Airkit.ai.
The C3 AI CEO previously served as acting administrator of the GSA, where he focused on enhancing the agency’s technology infrastructure, modernizing federal procurement and implementing the AI Agent Plan.
Ehikian co-founded and served as CEO of Airkit.ai and was vice president of product at Salesforce. He was also the chief operating officer and chief financial officer of RelatIQ. Before that, Ehikian served as VP of Westbrook Partners and an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley.
