Seamless is the Highest Level of Intelligence_cabin_voice_and

On October 9, 2025, the Dongfeng Fengshen L8 officially launched its first OTA smart upgrade, introducing over 20 new features and optimizing the experience around three core scenarios: payment ecology, voice interaction, and entertainment systems. This upgrade is user-centric, focusing on high-frequency needs, transforming from “understanding you” AI interaction to “worry-free” seamless services, fully activating the potential of the cabin and allowing owners to enjoy a delightful experience of “always fresh and new”.

When taking kids out, faced with their endless questions, searching on the phone can be distracting, and providing direct answers can be misleading; waiting alone in the car at red lights or picking up kids for an hour can lead to silent phone scrolling. These small awkward and dull moments now have a new way to engage.

The most striking change in intelligent interaction after the upgrade is the support for smart voice casual chatting, fuzzy content searching, context inheritance, and multimedia cross-domain capabilities. Compared to the previous single command responses, the DeepSeek & Doubao dual AI model voice assistant can now serve as an “encyclopedia,” answering everyday knowledge, calculating bills, reading news, and explaining traffic regulations; it can also act as a “chat companion,” engaging in casual conversation and interactive mini-games, as well as being a car usage master, capable of answering practical questions from the car manual. It is more aligned with daily conversational habits and responds to your needs more intelligently than traditional voice assistants.

Entertainment Ecosystem Maximized, Cabin Transforms into a “Mobile Leisure Station”

When driving to camp with family and friends, everyone usually just scrolls their phones, leading to “boring moments” during family outings; after a long day of work, returning home and enjoying personal time has now been fully enriched by this upgrade.

The newly added iQIYI app allows users to purchase memberships in the car’s app store, and membership benefits can be synchronized across multiple devices including the car, mobile phone, tablet, and computer. During long trips, the co-driver and rear passengers can watch shows simultaneously, completely saying goodbye to “boredom on the road.” Additionally, a customized version of Migu Quick Play has launched, covering popular games like Egg Party, Wild Race, Black Myth: Wukong, and Genshin Impact. By connecting a Bluetooth controller, users can play games seamlessly, and game progress can continue seamlessly between the car, PC, and TV, ensuring uninterrupted entertainment experiences.

Seamless Services for All Scenarios, Addressing “High-Frequency Pain Points” in Car Use

In daily car use, various “troubles” always arise. When exiting a parking lot, it can take forever to find the payment QR code while the cars behind are honking; on rainy days, scanning the code can be a hassle; during the morning rush, wanting to buy a coffee often leads to delays while searching for an app… These “panicked” moments can now be resolved with a single click.

The Alipay Car Life app, co-developed by Dongfeng Motor and Alipay, can be regarded as a “personal assistant” in the car, enabling users to complete tasks such as parking fee payments, searching for nearby parking lots/gas stations, discount charging, and discount car washes all with one click, saving time and effort. Moreover, users can receive packages without taking out their phones, as the car system can directly send the pickup code to their phone, allowing real-time tracking of package status. The most convenient feature is the “voice pre-order coffee” function (supporting Starbucks and Luckin Coffee). If you’re in a hurry in the morning and want to grab a coffee, just tell the car system, “Order a Luckin latte,” and after selection, payment is automatically processed, allowing for pickup without stopping or searching for the phone, seamlessly managing tasks while driving.

It is worth mentioning that the Alipay seamless charging ecosystem is continuously expanding. Currently, the plug-and-charge feature covers over 4,500 charging piles in more than 140 cities across 29 provinces. It has also begun supporting some new electric charging piles. By the end of 2025, support for Star Charging, Southern Power Grid, and Weijing Cloud charging piles will be added, and other major charging companies will be integrated, making charging even more convenient in the future.

Safety Details Optimized, More Confidence in Narrow Conditions

Roads in residential areas are often filled with parked cars, and there’s always a fear of scraping side mirrors; during oncoming traffic, the A-pillar can block the view of pedestrians, causing anxiety due to unclear visibility. This upgrade addresses those “tense moments” of poor visibility.

In response to feedback from car owners regarding visibility issues, this upgrade has optimized the 360-degree panoramic imaging (AVM). After switching to the AVM interface, the left and right views have been adjusted from the original side view to perspectives that can observe blind spots on the left and right front, allowing for clear visibility of obstacles near the A-pillar when navigating narrow roads or encountering oncoming traffic, significantly reducing the risk of scratches caused by blind spots and enhancing driving safety.

Currently, Dongfeng Fengshen L8 users can confirm the upgrade through car system pop-up prompts or the Dongfeng Fengshen app, with the entire process taking about 30 minutes without the need to visit a store. From smart interaction to scenario services, this OTA upgrade eliminates redundant features, with each item precisely addressing the core needs of family users. This not only enhances product competitiveness but also brings the convenience of “software-defined cars” into every moment of daily travel.返回搜狐,查看更多
