Compared to the previous single command responses, the DeepSeek & Doubao dual AI model voice assistant can serve as an ‘encyclopedia’ to check common knowledge, calculate bills, read news, and explain traffic regulations; it can also be a ‘chat buddy’ to alleviate boredom with casual conversation and interactive games, and it even acts as a vehicle expert to answer practical questions from the user manual, responding more intelligently to daily conversational habits than traditional voice assistants.

The newly added iQIYI app supports purchasing memberships in the car’s app store, with membership benefits synchronized across multiple devices including the car, mobile phone, tablet, and computer. The Alipay Car Life App, developed in partnership with Dongfeng Motor, serves as a ‘personal assistant’ in the car, allowing for one-click solutions for parking payments, searching for nearby parking lots/gas stations, discounted charging, and car washes, saving both time and effort. Additionally, receiving packages no longer requires pulling out a phone; the car system can directly send a pickup code to the phone, enabling real-time tracking of parcel status. The most convenient feature is the ‘Voice Pre-order Coffee’ option (supporting both Starbucks and Luckin Coffee), where in the morning, if you’re in a hurry and want to grab a coffee, you can simply tell the system, ‘Order a Luckin latte.’ After selecting, payment is automatically deducted, and you can pick it up without stopping or searching for your phone, multitasking seamlessly.
It’s worth mentioning that the Alipay seamless charging ecosystem is continually expanding. When switching to the AVM interface, the left and right views have been adjusted from the original side perspective to angles that allow observation of blind spots on both sides. When navigating narrow roads or encountering oncoming traffic, obstacles near the A-pillar can be clearly displayed, significantly reducing the risk of scrapes caused by blind spots and enhancing driving safety.
Currently, Dongfeng Fengshen L8 users can confirm the upgrade through car system pop-up prompts or the Dongfeng Fengshen app, completing the refresh in about 30 minutes without needing to visit a store.
