Ready to Make Your Own AI App? Claude’s New Feature Has You Covered.

Just a heads up, if you buy something through our links, we may get a small share of the sale. It’s one of the ways we keep the lights on here. Click here for more.

Anthropic is introducing a powerful new feature that lets users build their own AI-powered apps directly inside the Claude app.

This new feature, currently in beta, expands on a tool called Artifacts, which was introduced last year.

Artifacts let users see and interact with what Claude creates, like documents or code, within the chat.

With this upgrade, you can now do even more: you just tell Claude what kind of app you want to build, and it will write the code for you.

For example, if you say, “Make a simple to-do list app,” Claude will generate the necessary code and show you the app in action right away, right inside the Claude interface.

This allows users to experiment with ideas, build useful tools, and immediately test and improve them, all without leaving the app.

Anthropic showed a brief demo video where someone built a chat app using this feature.

So far, early users have created a variety of projects using Claude, including AI-based games, learning tools, apps for analyzing data, writing assistants, and more complex tools that perform several tasks at once using Claude’s AI capabilities.

These custom-built apps can even communicate with Claude using an API.

That means developers can build more advanced apps that make smart use of Claude behind the scenes. Anthropic is also encouraging users to share the apps they create.

If someone else uses your app and it involves AI features that require a subscription, it will use their subscription, not yours, so you won’t be charged for other people’s usage.

This new feature is available to everyone using Claude, including those on the Free, Pro, and Max subscription levels.

It gives users, whether beginners or experienced coders, a fun and easy way to create, test, and share AI-powered tools right inside Claude, without needing to install anything extra.

What do you think about this feature? Do you see yourself building apps with AI? Tell us what you think, below in the comments, or reach us via our Twitter or Facebook.
