Andhra Pradesh chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu proposed the idea of developing a quantum Valley in the capital region of Amaravati and it is already starting to show positive effects. After multiple elite IT companies have communicated plans to set shop here, it is IBM, which is the latest addition to the list.
While speaking with reporters, a senior representative of IBM revealed that the company plans to set up a campus in the quantum Valley area of Amaravati.
Adding to that, it is being primarily established that IBM is planning to launch its quantum computer unit in Andhra Pradesh by March 2026, and related arrangements are being made already.
IBM is of the implication that they wish to develop Quantum computation services in India and believe that Amaravati is the right cultural hub to start the process.
The global IT giant plans to set up a 156-Qubit Heron quantum processor in Amaravati and this will serve as the primary quantum computation service that IBM plans to set up in India.
With the arrival of IBM, we can expect multiple other global joints to come to Amaravati in the days to follow, and this capital of Andhra Pradesh could very well drive the quantum equilibrium in India.
