Reporter: Zou Yongqin

On September 12, Guangdong Tosstar Technology Co., Ltd. (300607.SZ, hereinafter referred to as “Tosstar”) held a global open day event at its headquarters in Dongguan, where it launched its first humanoid robot—”Xiao Tuo.” Chairman Wu Fengli stated that while the company continues to consolidate and expand its core business, it will focus on high-end intelligent equipment and promote the implementation of artificial intelligence technology in manufacturing scenarios.

The Economic Observer reporter learned on site that “Xiao Tuo,” equipped with the Zhipu AI large model, has the ability to use thought chains for complex task reasoning, enabling autonomous reasoning and decision-making for complex tasks in warehouse or factory environments. For instance, by integrating a 3D camera and AI visual inspection system, it can identify the yield of injection-molded parts in real time and autonomously complete processes such as loading trays, achieving full-process automation from inspection to operation. Therefore, it is not only the first humanoid robot officially released by Tosstar but also the first humanoid robot applied in the injection molding industry.

Furthermore, the manufacturing of “Xiao Tuo” has largely achieved “in-house production”: its core components are processed using Everme (a subsidiary of Tosstar) DMU400 five-axis CNC machines, and key technologies such as servo control have applied the company’s developed mechanical end-effector vibration suppression control technology. According to the on-site introduction by Wang Zhicheng, Chief Servo Technology Expert of Tosstar and PhD from the Shenyang Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the innovative breakthrough in mechanical end-effector vibration suppression control technology not only showcases the company’s hard strength in the high-end servo field but also provides key technical support for the large-scale deployment of humanoid robots.

Chairman Wu Fengli stated at the event that since the company was founded in 2007, starting with injection molding auxiliary machines, it has developed over 18 years to establish a comprehensive service capability covering the entire injection molding chain from single machines to entire factories. With nearly 20 years of experience and a wealth of scenarios, it has served over 15,000 customers across various fields such as 3C, medical, automotive, and daily chemicals, providing a solid validation foundation and rich expansion space for the application of humanoid robots.

During the press conference, Tosstar also announced the formal establishment of the “Tosstar Humanoid Robot Ecosystem Innovation Alliance.” In this regard, Wu Fengli stated that the alliance aims to integrate resources from production, academia, research, and enterprises to accelerate the large-scale implementation and innovative application of humanoid robots in diverse scenarios. “In the future, Tosstar’s humanoid robots will precisely solve practical application problems through deep integration of technology and scenarios, ultimately building a sustainable commercial closed loop.”

Additionally, why was a wheeled robot launched this time instead of a legged robot? In response, Tosstar’s Secretary of the Board, Xie Shimei, told the Economic Observer reporter that as a company rooted in manufacturing, Tosstar evaluates products based on cost and practicality. “Currently, in the industrial sector, especially in factories and workshops, what the industry needs are robots that can genuinely perform tasks. Clearly, wheeled robots are more practical and cost-effective in this regard.”返回搜狐,查看更多
