Nov 19 + 20 – Artificial Lawyer

After successfully growing the Legal Innovators conferences in London and California we are now proud to announce the launch of Legal Innovators New York, taking place at the Time-Life Building, Midtown, New York, on November 19 + 20, this year.

As with the other landmark events, Day One is focused on law firms, and Day Two on inhouse, with ALSPs fitting into both. Also as before the conference is organised by Cosmonauts, and inspired and chaired by Artificial Lawyer.

So, why New York and why now? The answer is two-fold: New York is by far the largest legal market in the US and by extension potentially the largest legal tech market in the country as well. But, what clinched it for Legal Innovators is how things are now truly changing in the Big Apple, all the way to the top.

That means Legal Innovators conferences are in step with the local market, i.e. exploring the cutting edge of legal tech and new ways of working both at law firms and inhouse, with potentially major systemic change needing to be considered in the medium-term. Therefore, Legal Innovators New York – which is based on the ideas and ethos of Artificial Lawyer – and hence is all about change, rapid evolution, and innovation that leads to the development of new ways of working, is in synch.

A key catalyst clearly has been the arrival of generative AI, which has tipped the balance among many leading firms toward considering the reality that although New York is arguably at the very top of the legal world’s summit, that the innovative forces shaking the rest of the legal market mountain are going to be felt there too. And in fact, are already being felt.

And so, wherever there is systemic change to be explored and to be understood, and which needs the insights of the top experts in the field whether at law firms, inhouse, at tech companies, or consultancies, then the Legal Innovators conferences have a role to play in bringing everyone together at the intersection of legal tech and the business of law.

We look forward to you joining us as speakers, sponsors, and delegates, as we explore this frontier and chart a path ahead.

In the months leading up to November this site will be bringing you more updates and announcements, but for now I just want to say how excited we all are to hold this landmark event in New York.

For more information and tickets for the event, which will be held within the offices of leading law firm Latham & Watkins, please see here.

And if you’d like to take part as a sponsor, then please contact the Cosmonauts team:

Look forward to seeing you there!

Richard Tromans, Founder and Conference Chair, Artificial Lawyer.

P.S. Legal Innovators California in San Francisco will be on June 11 and 12. See more here.

P.P.S. Legal Innovators UK in London will be on November 4th, 5th and 6th – with a new special Litigation Day added to the usual two-day format, hence it will now be three days. See more here.
