The newest deal involving artificial intelligence in the public sector is designed to streamline employee support and reduce headaches when it comes to calling IT, finding the latest HR policy or other such jobs.
Moveworks, a self-described conversational AI platform, has struck a deal with Carahsoft, which provides technology to state, local and federal agencies.
Carahsoft, as the master government aggregator for Moveworks, will make the company’s AI platform available to public-sector clients via Carahsoft’s reseller partners, according to a statement.
According to Moveworks, it is the only software-as-a-service conversational AI supplier that has enjoyed successful deployment in Microsoft Government Community Cloud High Teams.
The company’s technology automates employee support activities such as seeking support from in-house tech teams and keeping up to date on internal organizational changes.
The platform provides a “single place employees can go for help,” according to the statement, which in turn absolves workers of the need to learn multiple systems and applications.
“Moveworks built its platform on a foundation of security and compliance, while still leveraging the power of cutting-edge technology — like large language models and generative AI,” said Evan Slack, the sales director who leads the Moveworks team at Carahsoft, in that statement. “This solution enhances the potential of existing resources by making them available through natural language.”
