Midjourney is one of the leading AI image and video generation tools, and the company has now integrated AI-generated video content into Discord. The paid tool was one of the first to make a splash in the world of AI content creation, though it has faced strong competition from ChatGPT and Google Veo for image and video generation, respectively.
AI-generated images have long been integrated into Discord for Midjourney subscribers, which starts at $10 monthly (or $96 annually) for the basic plan and up to $120 per month for the mega plan. All paid users have access to the Discord integration, which lets you DM the Midjourney Bot to create AI-generated content. You can also write your prompts in the Midjourney server.

Looping videos and video generation on Discord
Over on the Midjourney Discord server, developer DavidH has detailed the new features, including Discord integration. You can create video content from existing imagery, and now you can even loop it. Additionally, you can set specific start and end images for the AI to generate between – we can already imagine some wild Animorphs-esque prompts making use of this new feature.
DavidH also ends his message with a few examples of the new looping and start/end image features. For the latter, this includes a squirrel transforming into a goldfish, a transforming model, and an anime-style clip with a seamless 3D camera pan to show the character from a new angle (and a change of costume). A couple of good uses of the looping feature include an animated idle animation or walk cycle.
Most recently, we saw Midjourney AI image generation get fully upgraded to V7 “after months of testing” to deliver better image quality, a better understanding of prompts, and a new ‘Draft mode’ feature that lets you quickly generate images at 10x speed.
