LegalOn, an AI pioneer for inhouse contracting needs, has hired experienced legal tech executive Vanessa Davis as its Chief Product Officer. She has worked at multiple companies in this sector, including at Litera as a VP (2020 to 2023); LegalZoom (2007 to 2019); OneLegal – and has been on the advisory board to Spellbook since 2020 also. In short, she’s someone who really knows a lot about legal tech and the legal market.

In the new role Davis will lead ‘all aspects of the company’s global product vision, strategy and roadmap, including development of agentic legal AI that meets the evolving needs of global legal teams’, the company said. Most recently she has been working at PPLSI, a privacy-focused service provider.

The move follows LegalOn’s $50m Series E raise, bringing the company’s total funding to $200m. Over the past year, LegalOn has quadrupled its business in the US and UK and surpassed 7,000 customers globally, they added.

California-based Davis commented: ‘I’m thrilled to join LegalOn at such an exciting time. Legal teams are under more pressure than ever to deliver faster results without compromising accuracy or quality, and LegalOn’s technology is uniquely positioned to help them succeed. I look forward to building on the company’s strong foundation and bringing new innovations to market that drive efficiency, accuracy and compliance at every stage of the legal workflow.’

And Daniel Lewis, Global CEO of LegalOn, added: ‘Vanessa deeply understands the challenges that legal teams face and how technology can make their work easier. Her experience as a lawyer and technology leader will help us deliver even more value to customers as we expand our product capabilities and support legal teams around the world.’

Congrats on the move.
