Jack Shepherd, a senior figure at iManage, has left to join the innovation team at White & Case. The move follows the global firm’s hiring of Isabel Parker, previously at Deloitte, to lead the innovation group, and of Alistair Wye from Latham & Watkins.
Shepherd joins as Director of Knowledge Solutions and is well-known in the legal tech world, especially for his insights into knowledge management and legal data. At iManage he was Senior Principal Business Consultant.
He further strengthens a team with some already very high calibre people. Moreover, Shepherd was at Freshfields at the same time Parker held a senior innovation role there, so the two know each other already. He will start his new role in mid-July.
Shepherd told Artificial Lawyer in a statement: ‘I’m excited to join the innovation team at White & Case and play a role in continuing to develop the firm’s knowledge strategy, particularly the use of current and new technologies that have the potential to significantly advance the knowledge experience.’
Parker, Chief Innovation Officer, commented: ‘We are delighted to welcome Jack to the world class team we are building at White & Case. His expertise will help us to unlock the full potential of the firm’s Knowledge and accelerate our innovation strategy.’
In his role at White & Case, Shepherd will ‘shape the firm’s Knowledge strategy, using established and emerging technologies to transform the Knowledge experience’.
All three hires will operate out of the London office, with Wye, who joined in April, in the role of Director, Innovation and AI.
Congrats to Jack and the rest of the team!
