HR Tech and Workforce Intelligence

Many analysts report that traditional approaches to talent management are giving way to dynamic, data-driven strategies enabled by HR tech. Sara Gutierrez, chief science officer at talent acquisition platform SHL, says artificial intelligence is at the heart of this transformation.

“Roles are becoming more fluid, teams more cross-functional and career paths less linear,” Gutierrez explains. Organizations that adapt to this shift will be best positioned to attract, retain and develop top talent, she predicts.

The HR tech marketplace is populated with new, AI-powered talent intelligence tools that provide insights into workforce capabilities. These tools are moving companies beyond rigid job frameworks, allowing them to think more strategically about skills, potential and future readiness.

“Where we once operated reactively—filling roles, plugging gaps and relying on intuition—AI is helping us operate proactively,” Gutierrez says. The technology enables organizations to forecast critical skills, identify employees with growth potential and meaningfully personalize development, she says.

Critically, this approach is not about automation but augmentation. By using bias-mitigated, data-driven assessments, companies can uncover talent in unexpected places, including among neurodiverse candidates and those without traditional credentials.

According to Gutierrez, the future of work is clear: Career paths are becoming more like skill trees than linear ladders, and internal mobility is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. For many HR leaders, enabling this will require technology support.

As Gutierrez emphasizes, “The most inclusive organizations will be those that use AI not to reinforce old patterns, but to challenge them.”

HR tech in the news: Appcast, isolved, Perceptyx, more

Workplace platform Perceptyx is launching an AI coaching tool to address workplace burnout. With 36% of professionals feeling burned out, the solution leverages Nobel prize-winning nudge theory to help managers improve leadership approaches.

Human capital and financial management firm Strada has expanded Workday services to benefits administration and is reporting significant efficiencies for its clients. This provides a unified platform for HR, benefits and payroll—reducing the need for third-party feeds.

Appcast recruitment marketing platform has been recognized as a 2025 Premier Partner in the Google Partners program. According to a statement, the designation places Appcast among the top 3% of Google Partners in its region.

Security solution Serenity launched the sAxess app, which uses a biometric card for password-free access. Now on the app store, it follows the sAxess card, a blockchain-based fingerprint authentication card for securing financial and healthcare data.

HCM platform isolved has fully integrated ATS ApplicantPro to strengthen its recruiting tools and user experience. This move builds on their long-time partnership, combining ApplicantPro’s job ad services with isolved’s talent acquisition solutions.
