Google officially launched Flow today, a new AI-powered filmmaking platform that transforms the company’s generative video capabilities into a comprehensive creative tool. Announced at Google I/O 2025, Flow builds upon Google’s previous VideoFX experiment but expands its capabilities dramatically, positioning it as a storytelling platform rather than just a video generator.
“Flow is inspired by what it feels like when time slows down and creation is effortless, iterative and full of possibility,” according to Google’s announcement. For those wanting to try it, Flow is available starting today to subscribers of Google AI Pro (which provides 100 generations per month) and Google AI Ultra plans in the US, with more countries coming soon.
