Contact centers that rely only on humans to take calls may go the way of the dinosaur—and companies like Cognigy will be what drove them to extinction.
Düsseldorf, Germany-based Cognigy—a global leader in customer service automation using agentic AI—has relocated its U.S. headquarters from San Francisco to the Dallas suburb of Plano. After spending seven years in California, the company said its U.S. HQ move to North Texas signals “a new chapter” as it “deepens its commitment to the U.S. market and accelerates hiring in one of the country’s fastest-growing tech hubs.”
“Dallas offers the perfect mix of innovation, energy, and opportunity,” Cognigy Co-Founder and CEO Philipp Heltewig said in a statement. “We’ve built a strong U.S. presence over the past seven years, and relocating our headquarters to Dallas brings us closer to top enterprise customers, a rich talent pool, and a community that shares our forward-looking mindset.”
Over 1,000 brand partners worldwide
Founded in 2016, Cognigy integrates generative and conversational AI to create AI customer service agents “that redefine customer experiences, drive satisfaction, and support contact center employees in real-time,” the company said.
With over 1,000 brand partners worldwide, Cognigy’s client list includes Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Bosch, Nestlé, DHL, Lufthansa Group, Frontier Airlines, and more top global companies.
Moving U.S. HQ to ‘a center for innovation’
Cognigy said its decision to relocate to North Texas is in synch with a broader trend of tech companies expanding or relocating to Texas, “drawn by its central location, business-friendly environment, and growing reputation as a center for innovation.”
Its new Plano office will serve as a key base for Cognigy’s U.S. operations. The company said it’s actively hiring locally across sales, marketing, customer success, and technical roles.
Seeing global growth
The company’s expansion to North Texas comes amid its continued global growth. In the first months of 2025 alone, the company has opened offices in Berlin, London, and Amsterdam, meeting what it calls “increasing demand” for its AI agent platform across international markets.
“As others pull back, we’re leaning in,” Heltewig said. “We’re building a team that’s ready to define the future of customer experience, and Dallas is a great place to do it.”
Cognigy has additional offices in the U.K., Japan, Spain, South Korea, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates.
The company said its technology enables enterprises to deliver “personalized, efficient, and scalable customer service through AI-powered automation—resulting in higher customer satisfaction and reduced operational costs.”
