Sina Technology reported on the afternoon of August 26 that the Doubao App has officially launched a minor mode. Under this mode, features such as displaying video responses, browsing third-party web pages, chatting with intelligent agents outside of Doubao, and AI creation will be disabled by default. However, learning and work-related capabilities such as translation, information retrieval, and in-depth research can still be used normally.
The minor mode on Doubao requires parents to set a password. If exiting or switching modes, a second password confirmation is needed to prevent minors from bypassing the settings.
Previously, some users reported that Doubao provided corresponding short videos as references in response results, which could distract some children. A reporter’s test found that after activating the minor mode, no short video content is displayed or recommended in the responses. Additionally, users are unable to interact with other intelligent agents outside of the main Doubao bot.
As a new type of large model product, there is still significant room for exploration in protecting the digital lives of young people. The Doubao team stated that they will continue to optimize the experience of the minor mode to help both children and adults use AI with peace of mind. (Luo Ning)返回搜狐,查看更多
