Desi AI Founder Makes $50 Billion Unsolicited Offer To Acquire Perplexity If It Gets Google Chrome Triggering Memes

After Perplexity AI’s unsolicited all-cash offer of $35.4 billion to buy Google’s Chrome, a desi AI startup founder sarcastically offered the same to acquire the Aravind Srinivas company, once they have the kitty in the bag. This comes in the wake of the antitrust lawsuit in the US that might force Google to depart from its browser that is valued anywhere between $20 and $50 billion. Rival Perplexity AI recently launched an AI agentic browser, Comet, and has been endeavoring to upset the browser dominion of Google.

Meanwhile in his latest X/Twitter post, Puch AI’s Siddharth Bhatia quipped, “Hey Aravind, here’s a $50B unsolicited offer to acquire you and Google Chrome (once you’ve acquired it).” “Yes, a $50M company is making this offer. If anyone wants in on the deal, email perplexity@puch.ai,” he added. But here’s the catch. The post is a hiring cum PR exercise in disguise. Concluding the post, Bhatia remarked that the “first to convince Aravind Srinivas to sell wins an iPhone!”

When a user suggested Puch AI’s CEO start small instead, the latter remarked, “Aloo bhindi thori kharid raha hu.”

Another user remarked that $50 billion can get all the existing browsers, including Internet Explorer. Replying to the comment, Bhatia wrote, “Not enough for Internet Explorer. Some things are better left as they are.”

Amid a flurry of reactions, there were several who dropped memes taking a dig at Puch AI CEO’s offer. Meanwhile, one user remarked, “competition chal rha hai kaun kitna fek sakta hai to increase valuation.” Another commented, “Fenko toh lamba fenko.”
