ContractPodAi has expanded its partnership with Microsoft to combine its domain-specific AI platform, Leah, with Microsoft’s agentic capabilities, including Azure OpenAI Foundry Models.

This will see the development of new agentic AI solutions for legal, procurement, regulatory and compliance use cases.

As part of the agreement, ContractPodAi will be able to scale its offering globally through the Azure Marketplace and unlock opportunities across the Microsoft partner ecosystem.

Sarvarth Misra, CEO and co-founder of ContractPodAi, said: ‘We believe in Microsoft’s vision for AI and enterprise transformation. Our collaboration enables us to scale Leah’s impact and reach new levels of innovation in legal AI.’

Darren Hardman, CEO, Microsoft UK, added: ‘ContractPodAi represents a new generation of AI-first innovators who are transforming key industries around the world. By combining Leah with Microsoft’s advanced AI technologies, ContractPodAi can drive rapid innovation across the legal agentic AI space, and we look forward to seeing the impact Leah will deliver to organisations around the world.’

Note: it’s been asked in the market – what will happen to CLM companies as genAI changes things? ContractPodAi is a very good answer to that question: the most pioneering CLMs will rapidly evolve, adopt genAI at scale (as they already have done…), move into agents and help improve entire workflows. In short, CLM will evolve, or at least the more agile ones, as in this case.

Pramata has launched AI Negotiator, a contract system for analysis, review, comparison and negotiation acceleration integrated inside Microsoft Word. This includes providing historical contract negotiation insights, while providing automated redline suggestions and comprehensive contract health checks for in-house counsel.

The company stated that time spent redlining and processing contracts can be reduced by ‘as much as 50%, without sacrificing accuracy’.

As mentioned online earlier this week, Legora has launched a new workflows capability. This means that multi-step work can be automated end-to-end with Legora’s agentic AI using a combination of planning and tools to complete legal tasks.

Some key aspects:

‘Legora’s Workflows can complete tasks without humans building complex logic in a ‘no-code builder’ tool or similar – putting it ahead of anything else like it available today.

It allows lawyers to take on the role of orchestrators, delegating tasks to Legora in the most intuitive and effective way possible, using plain language.

Built in close collaboration with world-leading firms, it will significantly accelerate the adoption of AI and allow lawyers to provide an even higher quality service to their clients and collaborators.’

Legora CEO Max Junestrand said: ‘If there’s one thing that sets Legora apart, it’s that we listen to lawyers to build the best possible product that truly solves their problems. Firms have long asked for more systematic and nuanced ways of working with AI, and Legora’s Workflows are just that. We’re incredibly proud of the enhanced product that we’re now offering, which is ahead of anything else currently available in the market.

‘Lawyers we work with have been very clear; they don’t want to use tech for the sake of using tech. Low / no-code tools and template builders that effectively turn lawyers into part-time programmers to configure logic and prompts don’t cut it.

‘That’s why we’ve developed Workflows in tight collaboration with the world’s leading firms and attorneys to make it easy for everyone – from Knowledge Managers to Associates to Partners – to leverage the power of Legora’s capabilities and achieve repeatable and deterministic high-quality outputs with AI. With Workflows, Legora thinks and acts as a side-kick by intelligently planning and then executing tasks, using the right tools for the job without any technical set up.’

The 2025 Future of Professionals study by Thomson Reuters found that:

‘80% of professionals believe AI will have a high or transformational impact on their profession over the next 5 years, but only 38% expect significant change at their own organization this year.

More than half (53%) of professionals said their organizations are already seeing ROI as a direct or indirect result of their AI adoption, with improved efficiency and productivity being the most common benefits.

3 in 10 professionals say their organizations are moving too slowly on AI adoption.

4 in 10 organizations are adopting AI without a strategy. The report reveals a significant disparity in AI adoption, with some organizations experiencing significant benefits while others struggle to implement AI effectively.

55% of professionals have experienced significant changes in their work in the past year, or expect to in the coming year.

46% report skills gaps on their teams, mainly in technology and data competencies.

88% of professionals favour having profession-specific AI assistants, highlighting the growing importance of AI in professional work.’

Note the last point: the vast majority prefer a ‘profession-specific’ AI assistant.

AI-powered patent workflow platform Patlytics has appointed Michelle Lee as Senior Strategic Advisor. She has worked as Under Secretary of Commerce for Intellectual Property and Director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as a Vice President of AI/ML at Amazon Web Services and a Deputy General Counsel at Google.

—

eBrevia has launched Lens. Powered by genAI, lawyers can ‘easily pose a question about their data’.

This is how it works:

‘Turn on Gen AI capabilities for your organization’s eBrevia account,

Type in a question using natural language, which is linked to any field in eBrevia.

Our AI taps into context from your documents to deliver a high level of accuracy

Lens generates an answer across thousands of documents.

No training is required, however when a highly tailored approach is necessary, Lens includes the capability to train a model.’

That’s all for now folks. Have a nice weekend.
