
Chinese tech company Nubia Technology unveiled on Monday its latest artificial intelligence-powered smartphone and tablet, as the company aims to grab a bigger slice of the pie in the highly competitive consumer electronics market.
The company”s flagship handset Z70S Ultra photographer edition has incorporated AI large language models such as DeepSeek and Doubao with an improved photography capacity, and intelligent voice assistant functionality supporting knowledge Q&A and cross-language communication.
Its first consumer-grade tablet comes with a series of AI features covering document and image editing, while offering personalized studying plan and dressing suggestion, to meet the diversified needs of young people for work, study and entertainment.
Industry experts said the next two or three years will be key in bolstering the application of AI technology into electronic devices. AI capabilities on smartphones and other electronic products will drive upgrades and represent a significant opportunity for both vendors and application developers alike.
According to global market consultancy International Data Corp, the share of new-generation AI smartphones is expected to surpass 50 percent by 2027 in China.
By 2028, IDC forecasts 912 million AI smartphone shipments worldwide, with the annual compound annual growth rate reaching 78.4 percent.
