Microsoft has added video generation using OpenAI’s Sora model to the Bing mobile app. This is the first time the tool has been made available for free. Previously, Sora was only available to paid ChatGPT users.
Bing is Microsoft’s search engine, which has recently been actively developing as a platform for experiments with artificial intelligence.
The Bing Video Creator feature is currently only available on the mobile app and allows you to create 10 videos for free. After that, each clip will cost 100 Microsoft Rewards points, which can be earned by searching on Bing or purchasing from the Microsoft Store (for example, 5 points for each search on a PC, up to 150 points per day).
Users can simultaneously play up to three 5-second videos in a vertical 9:16 format. Support for horizontal video formats is expected in the future. Bing Video Creator is not yet available on PC.
Recall, Sora is an artificial intelligence model developed by OpenAI that allows you to create realistic and creative videos based on text descriptions. Users can enter text prompts, as well as upload images or videos to create new content. The model was officially introduced in December 2024 and became available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in most countries around the world.
