Tesla stock (NASDAQ: TSLA) has been under tremendous pressure as a result of CEO Elon Musk’s involvement in the United States Government and other factors, like tariffs and lower-than-expected delivery figures. However, one analyst says that the concerns regarding Tesla’s short-term performance are “overblown”, considering all the things the company has in the works for the future. Mickey Legg, an analyst for Benchmark, wrote in a note on Wednesday that much of the negative narrative that has hovered over Tesla shares for the past few months is exaggerated. Instead of looking at the near-term pullback on shares that has seen…
Google has shared an overview of how it’s increasing its usage of AI-based systems to detect fraudulent business listings, improve Search, and even create podcasts about random artifacts. Yeah, I’m not sure that those are going to be rising up the podcast charts anytime soon, but it’s another experiment that Google’s trying out. First off, on business listings, Google has provided a new overview of how it’s implementing more AI-based systems to detect fraudulent entities within its systems. As per Google: “Our improved detection system blocked or removed more than 70 million policy-violating edits to places on Maps. We also…

Last week, I heard the term vibe coding for the first time. Setting aside the fact that the term sounds like something a teenage hacker might say, it piqued my interest. What did it mean to vibe code? What “vibe” were they even talking about? So, as any good analyst would do, I started to research. Andrej Karpathy, a co-founder at OpenAI and former AI leader at Tesla, coined the term vibe coding on X in February 2025. The basic idea is to rely entirely upon LLMs and code by only using natural language prompting instead of writing the…
The Japanese American National Museum (JANM) in Los Angeles is taking a stand against President Trump’s DEI policies as $2 million of the institution’s federal funding hangs in the balance. Over the last week, Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has made severe cuts to the funding and staffing of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) and the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS). The JANM was one such institution impacted by these losses. Under former President Joe Biden, the museum received a $175,000 NEH grant for its “Landmarks of American History and Culture” workshops, which teach the…
A little girl happened upon a 3,800-year-old amulet while she was hiking with her family outside Jerusalem, the Israel Antiquities Authority said last week. Ziv Nitzvan, 3, discovered the amulet in the area around Beit Shemesh, a city that’s located less than an hour west of Jerusalem. It depicts a scarab, a beetle that commonly figures on ancient Egyptian antiquities, and is believed to date back to the Bronze Age. According to Nitzvan’s sister Omer, Ziv was hiking with her family when she was looking at stones on the ground. She “bent down, and of all the stones next to…

Moonvalley previously raised $70 million in seed funding from backers including General Catalyst, Khosla Ventures, and Bessemer Venture Partners. A spokesperson for Moonvalley told TechCrunch that the filing “does not dictate the total funding number” and that “the actual number will be formalized and announced in the coming weeks.” The wide availability of tools to…
Goldman Sachs has lowered its forecast for U.S. crude oil prices as the investment bank sees the U.S. economy slowing and the risk of a recession rising due to President Donald Trump’s tariffs . Goldman on Sunday cut its December 2025 outlook for U.S. crude and global benchmark Brent to $58 and $62 per barrel, respectively. Prices are expected to fall further in 2026 with U.S. crude and Brent averaging $55 and $58 per barrel, according to the bank. “The risks to our reduced oil price forecast remain to the downside, because recession risk has grown further and because OPEC+…
