The Amazon-backed Anthropic releases its most powerful group of artificial intelligence models yet called Claude 4. As per Anthropic the two models, called Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4, are defining a “new standard” when it comes to AI agents. Anthropic Claude 4 agent capabilities includes analysing thousands of data sources, execute long-running tasks, write human-quality content, and perform complex actions as per a release.

The release of Claude Opus 4 and Claude Sonnet 4 release represents a shift in how people use AI at work. Anthropic, which counts Amazon and Google among its backers, introduced its new Opus 4 model on Thursday, along with another model for general use named Claude Sonnet 4.
Founded by former OpenAI research executives, Anthropic launched its Claude chatbot in March 2023 has been a major player in the AI race. Almost every industry is rushing to add AI-powered chatbots and agents to avoid being left behind by competitors.
Claude 4 features
The new Claude 4 features include it being able to manage larger, more complex projects, for about a full workday operating independently, without additional prompts from a human. Anthropic says the assistant could be a tool for automating mundane aspects of the workday rather than eliminating roles.
As per Scott White, Anthropic’s product lead for the company’s AI assistant Claude.ai, “It’s like the kind of thing that is challenging that, you know, might represent 30% of your day, that isn’t necessarily fulfilling or professionally expanding you, but is necessary in the pursuit of being successful in your job”.
Claude Opus 4 would be able to analyze the current strategy, look through the company’s Facebook and Google ads to assess their performance, notice the difference between the two campaigns and then offer suggestions as to why they may have performed differently.

Claude 4 Opus and Sonnet both models can search the web to complete tasks on a user’s behalf and alternate between reasoning and tool use, according to Anthropic. The models when given access to local files, can extract and save “key facts to maintain continuity and build tacit knowledge over time.”
Claude 4 pricing
The pricing for Claude 4 starts at $15 per million input tokens and $75 per million output tokens. However, Anthropic says users can cut costs by up to 90% with prompt caching and by 50% with batch processing.
Anthropic revenue
The annual revenue for Anthropic reached $2 billion in the first quarter. This was confirmed by the company last week. This revenue was more than doubling from a $1 billion in the prior period.
