On September 16, at the 2025 Tencent Global Digital Ecology Conference, Tencent launched the new Hunyuan 3D 3.0 generation model. This model has increased modeling accuracy by three times, with a geometric resolution of up to 1536³, supporting ultra-high-definition modeling with 3.6 billion voxels. The detail expressiveness has significantly enhanced, providing users with an unprecedented 3D content creation experience.

From game production to e-commerce advertising, from AR/VR to embodied intelligence, 3D AIGC technology is accelerating its application across multiple fields. The Hunyuan 3D 3.0 model is now integrated into the Hunyuan 3D AI creation engine, available for free to users, and is simultaneously launched on the Tencent Cloud API, helping industries such as gaming, film, e-commerce, and social networking to easily achieve professional-grade 3D content creation.

To meet the needs of professional artists, the Hunyuan 3D Studio’s professional-grade 3D AI workstation has launched an invitation-only beta test covering seven core processes, including 3D pipeline component generation, UV unfolding, and rigging skinning. Additionally, the Hunyuan 3D Omni model, which supports multi-condition control, is set to be open-sourced soon, further promoting innovative applications of 3D generation technology in academic research and industrial scenarios.

The Hunyuan 3D 3.0 introduces the pioneering 3D-DiT graded sculpting model, breaking through the traditional technology bottleneck that makes it difficult to balance overall structure, regularity, and local detail. It addresses the two major generation challenges of overall structure and local detail, achieving sharp edges and clear details in ultra-high-definition 3D geometric generation, maintaining a state-of-the-art effect in the industry.

Compared to the previous model, Hunyuan 3D 3.0 has been specifically optimized for character generation, significantly enhancing modeling accuracy and achieving detailed facial reshaping, making the contours of the facial features clearer and more three-dimensional, with richer details and more natural and smooth character postures. The “abstract face” problem has been resolved, greatly improving the realism and aesthetic appeal of character generation, allowing users to easily create lifelike collectible-level 3D models.

In terms of generating complex geometric structures, Hunyuan 3D 3.0 adopts a graded generation strategy, first constructing the underlying structure and then gradually refining the details. Combined with enhanced data processing technology, it significantly improves the understanding and restoration capability of invisible areas, easily meeting complex design requirements.

In texture generation, Hunyuan 3D 3.0 further optimizes texture adherence and geometric alignment accuracy, ensuring that texture details are faithful to the design intent, achieving more precise texture mapping and fitting, with a more realistic and delicate surface quality, providing users with an immersive visual experience.

In the past year, Tencent’s Hunyuan large model has accelerated iterations, releasing over 30 new models and fully embracing open source.

The open-sourced models include the hybrid reasoning model Hunyuan-A13B, several small-sized models for edge-side scenarios, translation models supporting over 30 languages, and multi-modal base models and toolkit plugins for images, videos, and 3D. The Hunyuan 3D world model family has also been fully open-sourced, with over 2.6 million downloads of the Hunyuan 3D series models community, making it one of the most popular 3D open-source models globally.

Tencent Hunyuan is accelerating the application of 3D technology across various industries. Leading 3D printing manufacturers such as Tuo Zhu Technology and Chuangxiang Sanwei have integrated Tencent Hunyuan 3D models, significantly enhancing modeling efficiency. The world’s first design agent, Lovart, also prefers Tencent Hunyuan 3D for 3D generation tasks, expanding innovative applications in the design field.
