“I have always been a Utah fan. Growing up, I went to football games and my older sister ran track here. As a student, I love continuing to attend the football games. There is no better student section than the MUSS, and I love cheering on our team.
I am studying quantitative analysis of markets and organizations with a minor in Spanish. I was originally planning on majoring in finance, but I took a basic business economics course and fell in love with the subject and the professors.
Student leadership has been an important part of my college experience. I’ve held positions in the Latter-day Saint Student Association (LDSSA) at the Institute of Religion. I have had a blast doing that and through it have gotten to know a lot of people and organized wonderful events with students here on campus.
One of my favorite experiences I have had at the U is working with the Associated Students of the University of Utah (ASUU), where I have served as vice chair of speakers. We’ve brought speakers like Jeanette McCurdy, Elizabeth Smart, and John Quinones to campus. Through this opportunity, I have met some wonderful people and have been able to see a different side of campus.
I have had so much fun participating in student leadership. At the end of the day, I think everyone ought to be having fun andenjoying their experience in college. My leadership positions have given me different opportunities to explore, learn and enjoy myself. On top of that, it’s exposed me to different types of people and different individuals that I wouldn’t have met otherwise. I have also faced different challenges that I’ve been able to learn from and overall, it’s been so good.”
