Top 10 AI Agents Startups 2025 (Companies to Watch)

In the past few years, people couldn’t resist using AI to do any technical or laborious tasks. Even when scheduling a meeting or seeking suggestions for a trip, we all rely on AI at some point.

Well, these were AI-assistants like “Siri” who perform when a user gives them a command to work on. An AI agent, on the other hand, is a custom-made AI software that can be trained to do complex tasks and take crucial decisions without human intervention or command. They are basically “AI-assistants on steroids”.

Many startups have already deployed these AI agents into their workflow. Some of them are offering their flagship AI agents to customers, which are designed for specific sectors, such as healthcare, law, and finance.

In this post, I will discuss some innovative AI agent startups from various sectors that have deployed agentic AI into their workflows or are offering custom-built AI agents in a specific niche.

What Is an AI Agent?

In short, “An AI agent can do repetitive tasks that take hours of manual work within minutes.” That’s why the market size of AI agents reached $7.92 billion in 2025.

AI Model Processing
(An Image showing how an AI agent actually works)

Not only that, you can train an AI agent to process data and interact with other apps or systems. You can pretty much give your own working experience to the AI agent software to mimic everything you do online.

These agents do not simply execute scripts written by a programmer. Instead, they reference large bodies of company knowledge and real-world events.

For instance, many modern agents know how to update a record when a customer answers “yes,” but will also remember that decision and pre-fill future forms or escalate problems if something does not match historical data. This capacity sets agents apart from chatbots or macros with predefined responses.

In an interview with the New York Times Dealbook Summit, Jeff Bezos made a remark on AI agents, “AI agents will become our digital assistants, helping us navigate the complexities of the modern world. They will make our lives easier and more efficient.”

This demonstrates how agentic AI is the new trend, and most leaders are embracing it with both hands. Then, what’s stopping you?

How AI Agents Handle Workload?

Not every startup gets heavy investment or funding; many of them are tight on budget. However, they still need people to get the job done.

This is where an AI agent can be utilized, managing multiple workloads without requiring you to hire experts to do the job. These AI agents saved a lot of companies from becoming part of the 90% failed startups.

Key ways AI agents show their value:

In handling schedules, summarize data, & take decisions based on it.

Reduce errors, especially in compliance-heavy sectors like legal and finance.

Deliver consistent, prompt customer experiences by never needing a break or a reminder to log a note.

Surfacing insights, like frequent issues or process bottlenecks, thanks to tireless monitoring across systems.

Top 10 AI Agents Startups In 2025

These are the top 10 startups I have reviewed so far from various fields that have effectively implemented custom AI agents into their workflows.

Not only have these startups automated their workflow, but they have also increased their ROIs by multiple times without increasing their budget or manpower. Let’s know more about these startups and their AI agents in detail.

1. Penciled (Healthcare)

Startup Founded In2022HeadquarterSan FransiscoAI Agent FocusSchedules appointments, manages cancelled PT sessionsWebsitePenciled

Penciled is an AI-based front office assistant that directly integrates with the leading EMR system, WebPT.

Penciled focuses on the exhausting task of patient appointment management, which consumes time for both front-desk staff and practitioners, instead of relying on a rotating admin or a “press one to confirm” phone tree. Clinics using Penciled benefit from a virtual receptionist that manages inbound and outbound calls with natural language.

Penciled (Healthcare)Penciled (Healthcare)

Whitney, Penciled’s flagship agent, directly accesses the practice’s schedule to check and confirm openings with patients. She explains the delay causes, offers new dates, and logs those changes in the medical records or EHR without fuss.

Clinics using Whitney have seen a huge drop in no-shows and last-minute cancellations. Staff use their saved hours for patient care, insurance follow-up, or higher-value tasks instead of getting stuck in endless confirmation loops.

Here’s one statement from one of the clinic’s managers, Sarah Rao, who used Penciled’s Whitney agent to manage appointments with ease. There are thousands of clinics like this that are impressed with this agentic AI and capabilities.

2. Harvey (Legal Sector)

Startup Founded In2022HeadquarterSan FransicoAI Agent FocusSorting up documentations, collecting data WebsiteHarvey

In the legal world, document review and drafting can be tedious, requiring both knowledge and rigorous attention to detail. Harvey’s platform is among the first that go beyond regular document automation.

When a law firm uploads a stack of contracts, the agent scrutinizes them for common pitfalls, repetitive indemnity clauses, conflicting dates, or language that has previously tripped up compliance.

Users with this AI agent receive clearly highlighted summaries, not just red flags, detailing exactly what requires human judgment and what can be accepted as mediocre. If a firm has adopted specific templates, Harvey’s agent uses this context to suggest language or alert users when a provision is missing.

Lawyers no longer have to waste hours on “find and replace” or creating contract checklists, and can instead focus on developing effective case strategies and negotiating outcomes. This capability enables even small firms to serve more clients with reduced staff turnover.

3. Bilic (Finance and Compliance)

Startup Founded In2022HeadquarterLondonAI Agent FocusAutomating finance operations, fraud detection WebsiteBilic

Managing risk in financial services has always been a high-stakes endeavor, often requiring dedicated teams to pore over transactions and spot and report anomalies. Bilic introduced an agent, Neo, designed to observe transaction records in real time.

Bilic (Finance and Compliance)Bilic (Finance and Compliance)

Neo detects a pattern that might suggest fraud or regulatory noncompliance. For example, suppose it sees an activity to an unfamiliar vendor or an unexpected wire transfer volume. In that case, it instantly compiles a case package that includes flagged transactions and supporting reference data.

Unlike traditional transaction monitoring platforms, Neo carries context across investigations. For instance, if a supplier has been low risk historically but suddenly appears in an audit trend elsewhere, the agent prompts analysts to review before a regulator notices.

Finance teams have reported faster close-outs of investigations, fewer missed red-flag events, and more reliable retention of compliance documentation for audits.

4. Regal.ai (Sales/Customer Service)

Startup Founded In2020HeadquarterNew YorkAI Agent FocusVoice-oriented customer serviceWebsiteRegal AI

With Regal.ai, people took customer service to a whole other level. The platform is known for voice agents that can speak with outbound prospects as well as handle returns or basic troubleshooting from inbound calls.

What stands out is the ability to adjust conversation style, mirroring a brand’s preferred language and reacting appropriately to different customer personalities.

Regal AIRegal AI

Businesses with Regal.ai have run thousands of outbound sales campaigns where the system calls leads at optimal times, qualifies them, and books meetings directly onto a team’s shared calendar.

After each call, Regal.ai captures structured feedback on how objections were handled, which responses led to closed deals, and what topics resulted in disengagement. The data harvested from these efforts goes back into the playbook, so each new campaign becomes smarter than the last.

Regal integrates with 40+ apps, including some big names like HubSpot, Genesys, Calendly, and many more. Who thought an AI agent could take care of customer service like that? Isn’t this impressive?

5. Maven AGI (Customer Service)

Startup Founded In2023HeadquarterBostonAI Agent FocusHandles customer queries, responds within secondsWebsiteMaven AGI

Maven AGI is another customer service AI Agent that can read your customer’s sentiment and take actions based on that. Emails that go unread for hours, chat queues build up unexpectedly, and support tickets get lost when transitions occur between agents. Maven AGI is the answer to these issues.

Maven AGI (Customer Service)Maven AGI (Customer Service)

Maven AGI designed an agent that responds immediately to open cases regardless of the contact channel. This agent consults the customer’s order history, previous complaints, and documented solutions from the company’s knowledge base.

When a request comes in, if it matches a known pattern, the agent responds with custom instructions so customers are not left wondering if they are receiving the typical “we will get back to you” response.

For cases without a match, the AI agent compiles relevant files and context so human agents always have a complete background on their screen.

Companies like ClickUp, Triadvisor, and US-based fintech startup company “Rho” have put their trust in Maven AGI for its amazing capability in handling queries from customers.

6. Yuma AI (E-commerce Customer Experience)

Yuma AI is a startup founded with the goal of helping eCommerce store owners overcome challenges in handling customer support, sales, and social media.

Yuma reviews inventories, communicates directly with fulfillment APIs, and keeps the buyer updated with every change. Even late at night or during viral spikes, customers always receive accurate, actionable answers.

The result is fewer chargebacks, more five-star reviews, and customer support staff who can focus on delicate or VIP cases. These reviews are proof of that.

7. Naratix (E-commerce Content and Merchandising)

E-commerce success is increasingly tied to how fast a brand updates its store with relevant content, targeted bundles, and evolving offers. Naratix simply studies real-time analytics from customer browsing, product stock levels, and purchase history to adjust every aspect of the online store.

Naratix also identifies inventory that needs aggressive marketing or quicker turnover and adjusts site layout and messaging accordingly, maximizing both profit and inventory health. Store owners can finally let go of static homepages or endless manual campaign tweaks.

8. Enhans (Retail Personalization)

Startup Founded In2021HeadquarterSeoulAI Agent FocusPricing, sourcing, promotions & scalingWebsiteEnhans

Enhans is a Korean-based retail personalization company that mostly centers on making every shopper’s journey feel unique. Its core agent applies behavioral modeling, observing both in-session behaviors and historical purchasing data.

When a user hovers on a high-value item, the agent might prompt with a timely nudge, perhaps a limited-time bundle or an educational FAQ.

If the shopper navigates away, Enhans runs remarketing follow-ups tied to the exact session. This agent always seeks to time interventions for optimal impact, boosting conversion rates and promoting genuine loyalty. Retailers using Enhans see repeat customer rates rise and campaign costs fall, since every touchpoint now has a measurable purpose.

9. Kavida.ai (Supply Chain and Operations)

Kavida.ai fits into procurement workflows where the agent continuously checks status updates, monitors supplier confirmation emails, and reconciles incoming goods with ERP systems.

When a delay or mismatch is detected, the agent reaches out to suppliers for clarification, updates shipment records, and notifies stakeholders through dashboards and email alerts.

The need for daily manual follow-ups or time-consuming phone tag drops significantly, while exceptions and risks are flagged instantly. For scaling startups, this means fewer fire drills and more strategic focus on long-term partnerships.

10. Pixel Robotics (Warehouse Automation)

Conclusion: Start with Your Own AI Agent Startup

So, that’s it from my side. I hope these startups are enough to inspire you to create your own agentic AI for your online firm or business.

The best part of these AI agents is that they can make critical decisions if you train them about your operations. This will result in less manpower and more productivity. That’s why most of these startups have fewer than 10 employees.

So, it is high time for you to blend your imagination with technology and create an AI friend who can do time-consuming tasks for you while you focus on more productive tasks.
