Meta AI has rolled out a global AI-powered voice translation feature for Facebook and Instagram, allowing creators to automatically dub their videos into another language. The tool currently supports English–Spanish translations and goes a step further by cloning the creator’s voice tone, making the dubbed content sound natural. This new update aims to help creators reach wider audiences, with a simple step-by-step process available to use the feature on both platforms.
To use this Meta feature, creators need to record their videos normally while speaking clearly and minimizing background noise. The feature supports up to two people in a video, but overlapping voices should be avoided for better results. This ensures the AI can accurately capture speech for translation.

When uploading a reel on Instagram or Facebook, users can select the “Translate your voice with Meta AI” option in the sharing menu. On Instagram, the feature is available to all users in supported regions, while on Facebook it is currently limited to accounts with more than 1,000 followers. Once enabled, creators can choose their preferred translation settings.

At present, the tool only supports English-to-Spanish translations. An optional lip-sync feature allows AI to adjust lip movements for a more natural and realistic dubbed experience. Before posting, creators can preview the translated video and make adjustments if necessary to ensure accuracy and quality.

Once published, the reel appears with an on-screen label indicating that it has been AI-translated. Viewers can switch between the original and translated audio as they prefer. Creators also have access to engagement insights showing how many people watched the translated version. Meta has confirmed that more languages will be added soon, with a global rollout planned for all creators on Facebook and Instagram.
