STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The 20-year-old man who allegedly fled the scene of a fatal car wreck on the Garden State Parkway in June has been extradited to New Jersey from Florida after authorities claim he sought to escape.
Staten Island residents Alvi Limani and Vilma Vneshta, his 42-year-old mother, were recently extradited to New Jersey, according to a spokesperson for the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office. Vneshta is scheduled for a detention hearing on Tuesday; Limani’s hearing is set for Thursday.
