The agreement will see Ceva’s advanced NeuPro-Nano and NeuPro-M Neural Processing Units (NPUs) integrated into ALi’s next-generation Video Display Sub-System (VDSS) platform. This collaboration combines ALi’s expertise in multimedia SoCs with Ceva’s AI technology, enabling the delivery of high-performance audio, video, vision, sensing and AI processing applications in smart edge devices including intelligent smart displays, set-top boxes and a broad range of visual computing devices.
The NeuPro-Nano Embedded AI NPU is purpose-built for ultra-low power applications in always-on audio, voice, vision and sensing use cases. With native support for transformer models, it can efficiently execute small language models (SLMs) and other emerging AI workloads at the edge.
Complementing this, the NeuPro-M NPU IP delivers scalable performance – from 4 to 200 TOPS/core – supporting advanced AI models including transformers, Vision Transformers (ViT), and generative AI.
By integrating both NPUs into ALi’s VDSS platform, ALi’s ASIC design service customers will now gain access to a more flexible and energy-efficient AI acceleration solution, optimised for deep learning inference across a wide range of smart edge applications.
