The battle for market share among the genAI productivity platforms took another step forward today as UK-based BCLP said it had picked Legora, following a pilot.
The pilot was conducted over several months, ‘incorporating feedback from a diverse group of legal professionals…the results demonstrated significant improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and overall satisfaction among the participating lawyers’, the international law firm said.
The announcement comes just days after rival Harvey announced it had reached $100m ARR and had now 42 of the AmLaw 100 as customers – underlining the focus of the genAI productivity platforms on very rapid growth and securing key large law firms. Meanwhile, Legora was also recently chosen by another major UK firm, Mishcon de Reya, also after a pilot.
BCLP’s Innovation team, in collaboration with the firm’s Innovation Champions, will now focus on integrating Legora further into the firm’s legal workflows, they said.
And they added that ‘following an in-depth review, the Innovation team has identified numerous opportunities that can make a real difference in enhancing service delivery and delivering favourable outcomes for the firm’s clients’.
David Boulds, Global Director of Innovation at BCLP, said: Our partnership with Legora signifies a substantial step forward in the use of AI technology at the firm. We are building on our deep experience in the application of AI to deliver real transformational change to our practice of law.’
Dan Surowiec, Global Chief Information Officer at BCLP, added: ‘We are delighted to collaborate with Legora. This partnership will equip our teams with superior tools and insights, enabling us to better address our clients’ needs in an increasingly complex legal landscape. Our objective is to remain at the forefront of legal technology, and this partnership underscores our commitment to this goal.’
And Max Junestrand (pictured), CEO & co-founder of Legora, concluded: ‘The feedback from BCLP’s extensive pilot has been exceptional, and we’re excited to continue collaborating closely with the firm on future innovations that will only enhance Legora’s unrivalled capabilities as the go-to platform for empowering legal professionals globally.’
