IBM announced the dates for its second annual Quantum Developer Conference and is now taking applications. This year’s event will be held Novermber 12-14 in Atlanta.
Announced in a blog last week, IBM says, “QDC 2025 will bring together developers, researchers, and quantum community leaders from all over the world to enjoy an exclusive preview of the most recent updates to the IBM Quantum Roadmap. These include the forthcoming IBM Quantum Nighthawk and IBM Quantum Loon processors that will pave the way to advantage and eventually large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computing.
“Participants will also get hands-on demos of cutting-edge IBM quantum software tools. These will include demonstrations covering the latest in quantum error mitigation techniques, high-performance capabilities enabled by the Qiskit SDK’s new C API, and other exciting updates to the Qiskit software stack designed to enable near-term demonstrations of quantum advantage.”
Prio to last year, the event had been called the IBM Quantum Summit and featured a review of IBM’s updated quantum roadmap and announcement around forthcoming hardware and softrware. With its evolution into a developer-focused event, more attention is paid top hands-on training as well as use-case presentations.
As was the case with last year’s inaugural QDC event, any member of the quantum community may apply to attend IBM Quantum Developer Conference 2025. However, IBM says space is very limited and asks all prospective attendees to submit an application to be considered for the event.
