Elon Musk’s xAI company has launched a new feature in its AI generator Grok Imagine – 18+ mode that allows creating adult content. The tool is already available to SuperGrok and Premium+ subscription users in the X app, TechCrunch reports.
Grok Imagine is an artificial intelligence-based image and video generator that converts text or visual prompts into pictures and 15-second videos with generated audio.
One of its modes, spicy mode, allows you to create NSFW content, including scenes with partial nudity. Musk said that on the first day alone, users created more than 20 million images.
In addition, it is impossible to generate completely explicit content – some requests are blocked or blurred by the moderation system. Nevertheless, according to journalists, some users still managed to get half-naked images.
The Grok Imagine generator allows you to create content with images of celebrities. However, such requests are also subject to certain restrictions. For example, an attempt to generate an image of a pregnant Donald Trump resulted in images of the politician holding a child or standing next to a pregnant woman.
So far, the generation of people in Grok Imagine is not perfect: the skin of the characters looks “waxy” and the facial features are cartoonish.
Nevertheless, the service demonstrates impressive speed: images are created in seconds, and the interface is intuitive.
According to Elon Musk, the model is being improved every day. It is being developed as a competitor to solutions from OpenAI, Google DeepMind, Runway, and Chinese companies.
