Targeting price sensitive consumers, Walmart is offering 14 of the most popular school supplies at lower prices this season compared to last year.

The mass retailer says shoppers can purchase everything needed for the first day of school for less than $65, according to a Tuesday press release.

“We understand how important it is for families and teachers to save time and money when preparing for the school year,” Denise Incandela, Walmart U.S. executive vice president of fashion, said in a statement. “As the go-to destination for back-to-school shopping, we’re proud to offer another year of incredible value — including school supplies, must-have styles and essentials.”

Over half of Walmart customers surveyed indicated that having a one-click school supply basket could make back-to-school shopping easier, per the release. As such, Walmart created a one-click supplies list. It’s also brought back its one-click school lunch basket that amounts to $2 per day for 10 days.

The retailer has also launched a new tween private label apparel brand called Weekend Academy. Most of the label’s products are available for under $15 and many are under $10, with a full outfit including shoes costing around $42.

Additionally, Walmart launched a new “explore” feature on its digital classroom registry to help teachers quickly discover products they may need. Similar to last year, higher education students can snag a Walmart+ membership for 50% off at $49 a year.

Back-to-school spending in the U.S. is expected to increase 3.3% year over year to $33.3 billion, per a Coresight Research report released earlier this month. That survey found that 68.8% of respondents said inflation will limit their spending in the category this year and 73% expect price increases due to supply chain issues or tariffs on imported goods.

Target launched its Circle Week savings event this month with a specific emphasis on back-to-school products. The retailer — which concluded the sale on Saturday — said it is maintaining 2024 pricing on select school products in addition to offering teachers and students a one-time 20% storewide discount with an extended usage period. Additionally, teachers and students can sign up for a one-year Target Circle 360 membership at 50% off for $49 annually.
