I don’t care who you are, where you’re from
What you did, As long as you love me!
— Backstreet Boys

Wow! They really love AI in China! Across regions, across pockets!

So, Tencent, from China, has announced its latest Hunyuan-T1—the first Mamba-powered ultra-large model! Well, well, well! Seems the Chinese are in love with AI! First, came DeepSeek, then Baidu ERNIE 4.5, and now, Tencent with Hunyuan-T1, with Google Gemma, in-between, along with OpenAI’s O-series models.

That’s really a lot of development done within a space of very little time! Didn’t I remark earlier that AI models will come up thick and fast, and possibly, from Asia? They have also stopped caring, it seems, from where the models now originate from! Currently, its a race between China and USA, and no questions about the winner here. Europe still hasn’t joined in! India: no comments!

Compared with the T1-preview model, Hunyuan-T1 has significant overall performance improvement, and is a leading cutting-edge strong reasoning large model in the industry. Here are some highlights:

* Based on TurboS, T1 shows unique advantages in the direction of in-depth reasoning.
* Mamba architecture specifically optimizes the processing ability of long sequences.
* Tencent invested 96.7% of computing power in reinforcement learning training, focusing on improving pure reasoning ability, and optimizing alignment with human preferences.
* Hunyuan-T1 also performs on par with R1 in internal human evaluation datasets.
* It has achieved comparable or slightly better results than R1 on public benchmarks.
* Hunyuan-T1 also performs on par with R1 in internal human evaluation datasets.
* On MATH-500, it achieved an excellent score of 96.2, closely following DeepSeek R1, demonstrating T1’s comprehensive ability in solving math problems.
* T1 has shown very strong adaptability in multiple alignment tasks, instruction-following tasks, and tool utilization tasks.

On Hugging Face, Hunyuan-T1 states that the current demo is the latest reasoning model of Hunyuan-T1. The full version with browsing will be launched on Tencent Yuanbao soon. Stay tuned.

In fact, using CODE, it states: Okay, the user wants a paragraph where each sentence starts with the letters C, O, D, E in order. But, it has to look natural, and not obvious. Let me start by brainstorming sentences that naturally start with those letters.

The end result: Creative solutions often emerge when we least expect them. Observing patterns in nature has inspired countless innovations throughout history. Designing systems that mimic natural processes requires both patience and ingenuity. Every challenge, no matter how complex, becomes an opportunity to learn and grow.

Rapid growth of big AI models, with more deep thinking and improved reasoning capabilities are now coming on board. And, very fast!

Stay tuned for the fun to continue!
