Perplexity Makes Surprise $34.5 Billion Play for Google Chrome:

The offer, first reported by The Wall Street Journal, was confirmed by Perplexity spokesperson Jesse Dwyer in an interview with CNN. The bid was made at the same time that Google is awaiting a court decision in the wake of the historic ruling last year that found the company in violation of U.S. antitrust laws for its search practices.
